THE

UNBLOCKABLES

iMPROV FOR PEOPLE WHO STUTTER
I see improv as a kind of metaphor for how I think about stuttering. You accept the given reality and build upon it with creativity and boldness.

Let's laugh! Let's play!

To celebrate International Stuttering Awareness Day, we are hosting a free, one-hour improv workshop!

Participants will get together on Zoom to practice improv skills in a fun & supportive environment. We will laugh a lot!

Facilitated by Dan Dumsha (founder & president of Improv for Work & Wellness), Robert O'Brien (author, actor & educator) and Wendy Duke (speech language pathologist and founder of Columbia Speech & Languages Services, Inc.).

Sunday, October 27th

11 AM - 12 PM PDT

Free!

Via Zoom!

The UnBlockables program focusses on presence & saying yes, cultivating laughter and celebrating mistakes. We use improv to have fun & to support participants' confidence while speaking.

We are proud to partner with Columbia Speech and Language Services to offer this program for those who stutter!

This program was first delivered in collaboration with Tightrope Impro Theatre and co-facilitated by Dan Dumsha (founder & president of Improv for Work & Wellness) along with Wendy Duke (Speech Language Pathologist and founder of Columbia Speech and Language Services Inc.) and Robert O’Brien (author, actor and educator).

The ability to think like a performer totally takes the edge away when standing in a stutterer’s shoes and brings real world practices to the world of stuttering. The UnBlockables pilot program iss such a fresh approach towards stuttering and coping with it.
