Embracing the “yes, and” mentality has shifted my approach to creativity, writing and teaching. It’s truly life-changing to allow yourself to see and trust that you can face all that comes up in life, in work and in the creative process.
Rebecca is a writer, workshop facilitator, writing coach and communications professional who believes everyone is inherently creative and everyone’s story is worthy of being heard. For 30 years she has worked with organizations all over the US and Canada to bring content, causes, technology and products to life. Clients include the World Parkinson’s Coalition, the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation, Nationwide Financial, FedEx and Medtronic.
For the last 10 years she’s partnered with healthcare and Parkinson’s organizations to offer writing and wellness-oriented workshops, including through the BC Brain Wellness Program, the Parkinson’s Pride Initiative, the Brian Grant Foundation, the World Parkinson’s Congress, and the Parkinson’s Foundation. She hosted and produced the award-winning podcast When Life Gives You Parkinson’s with her husband and has produced and hosted several podcasts and webinars for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Her memoir Cancer Happens: Coming of Age with Cancer (Capital Books, 2004) chronicles her experiences with young adult cancer.
