LEVEL 1

SPONSORED BY PARKiNSON CANADA

Our next Improv for Parkinson's Level 1 course starts in April!

Our Improv for Parkinson's Level 1 course is designed to introduce students with Parkinson’s disease (PD) to the foundations of improvisational theatre (improv) and apply improv skills to life with PD. No previous improv experience necessary.

We will explore themes such as presence and acceptance and celebrating mistakes. We are going to have fun and laugh a lot. This program is about coming together to be in creative community!

We encourage family members and care partners to attend with participants, as many games can be played at home after the class.

This course is being instructed by one of our Improv for Work and Wellness faculty along with a member of our PD Performance Troupe!

Improv for Parkinson's Level 1 includes a short registration session before the start of the course to answer questions and do a "tech check" for new students. We encourage participants to attend a registration session during one of the available times:

  • Monday, March 31st, 10:30 am PST

  • Friday, April 4th, 10:30 am PST

We gratefully acknowledge the funding support for this program from Parkinson Canada!
